Company’s history

Factory Compagnia Transadriatica established in 2009 with the idea of putting together the skills, aspirations, and dreams of three artists and friends. The company mainly carries out activities of production of shows, implementation of international cooperation projects, organization of workshops, theatre seasons and two festivals: the international festival of arts and theater for the new generations KIDS, dedicated to families and tout-public audience, and I teatri della Cupa, dedicated to the contemporary scene.

The company has been touring Italy from the very beginning of its story, participating in the most important theatre seasons and festivals with several productions.
Some of these productions, thanks to the absence of language barriers are perfectly suited to touring abroad and meeting foreign audiences.
Factory's productions have been awarded both in Italy, with the most important awards in Italy for the theatre for children and new generations, and abroad.

Company’s objectives

Factory’s productions arise from the belief that theatre, treasuring all possible languages, remains a lively place of research, a lens for looking at the world and describing it in the infinite possible ways.

Factory often explores the theme of identity, combining theater, dance and other genres and believing that theater for the new generations must be able to deal with issues that are sometimes even uncomfortable, such as fragility, fear, diversity, death. Themes that are part of our lives and as such can be talked about at different levels.

Since 2016, the company carries out an in-depth study of diversity and this has led to the encounter with disability, experiencing the creation of artistic ensembles composed of disabled and non-disabled actors with the production of Diary of an Ugly Ducking, Hubu Re, Peter Pan, (H)Amleto and a European project dedicated to accessibility.

Factory alternates prose and tout public, larger and smaller productions supporting and giving space to the projects of its actors. Among these,“Paloma. Offbeat ballad” and “Little Sushi” two productions with Michela Marrazzi, in which some of the abovementioned themes encounters the art of puppetry.

Peter Pan

The story of an absence, of a void that often remains unbridgeable, of a time that escapes our remembrance and that sometimes stops, of experiences that make us grow up unwittingly and too soon.

Peter Pan passes through the works of J. Barrie with lightness and enchantment, managing, with the help of video mapping and a perfectly close-knit group of actors, to restore the dream and reality, the game and the adventure, the joy and the nostalgia.
